Brain Waves
"The electric activity of the brain has repetitive patterns (oscillations) that depend on our behavior and emotions. These oscillations, are known as Brain Waves. These oscillations are located in a specific area of the Electromagnetic Spectrum: the Extremely Low-Frequency area...they cover frequencies that go from 1 Hz to 150 Hz, They are known as Delta, Theta, Alpha, Beta, and Gamma." - Humanfrequencies.com
Brain waves are how our Brain's communicate information and affect mood, concentration, sleep, and memory. Each type of waves have different functions.
Theta (4-8 Hz) - Temporal lobe: these waves encourage creativity, relaxation, dreaming and memory.
Gamma (above 35 Hz): these waves are produced during intense concentration and cognitive function.
Beta (12-30 Hz) - Frontal lobe: these waves encourage alertness.
Alpha (8-12 Hz) - Occipiral lobe: these waves encourage relaxation.
Delta (0.5-4 Hz) - Parietal and Frontal lobes: these waves are produced in out brains during deep sleep and generally only happen then.
Controlling ones mind and body is essential for magic, controlling the brain can affect both the mind and body as it is a hub of information. Binural beats, soundwaves that affect brain waves, are a useful tool to do this.
Here are some links to binural beat tracks i like
Here is a track I made myself using Theta Waves: Game Cartridge At The Bottom Of The Sea
I like the youtube channel Frequency Tuning for their tracks. They have no background music and list the specific frequencies they use. Here are some of their playlists:
